2-Amino-4-methylpyridine has been used in the synthesis of 2-amino-4-methyl?-pyridinium 2-hy?-droxy?-benzoate. It is potent inhibitor of NOS2 (iNOS) in vitro. It is used as pharmaceutical intermediate.
