Boron nitride is used to make alloys, semiconductors, nuclear reactors and lubricants. It is also used in the fabrication and luminescence study of monolayered boron nitride quantum dots. Further, it acts as a starting material to form boron nitride nanotubes.

Provides easy application of uniform, thin, protective high temperature BN coatings. Substrates can be ceramic, graphite or metal. BN properties: resistance to molten metals, high temperature lubrication, electrical insulation. Max. temp. use: 1100?°C Air; 1400?°C Vacuum; 1800?°C Inert; 1400?°C Vacuum and carbon. Coverage: 30-50ft /can. Carrier: acetone.Hygroscopic. Incompatible with oxidizing agents.
