溴化亚铜(I)

It finds many applications in organic synthesis, as a catalyst and a reagent. It is used as a catalyst in Sandmeyer reaction for preparing aryl bromides from arylamines through diazonium salts. It forms complexes with Lewis bases, such as dimethylsulfide, which is a precursor to organocopper reagents. Reactions involving Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization (ATRP) and Cu-catalyzed Cross-Dehydrogenative Couplings (CDC) are catalyzed by CuBr complexes.

Copper(I) bromide oxidizes easily in air, to copper(II) salt with formation of color. Store away from strong oxidizing agents, and metals.
