It participates in DNA replication in embryonic stem cells. MYBL2 protein can modulate stem cell genes. MYBL2 gene expression is altered in breast, ovarian, liver, colon, rectal, blood, brain, and bladder cancers. MYBL2 affects cell cycle progression and apoptosis in a regulated manner. It serves as a cell cycle modulator in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). |
