It is responsible for the cardiomyocyte growth, fibroblast migration and proliferation, promoted by aldosterone. It participates in the signaling function of IL-17 (interleukin) cytokine family. It can act as a transcriptional enhancer due to its presence in the nuclear compartment of airway epithelial cells. |
