| General description【一般描述】 | Docking protein 3 (DOK3) is an adaptor molecule encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 5q35.3. The encoded protein belongs to the downstream of tyrosine kinase (Dok) protein family. DOK3 is predominantly expressed in various hematopoietic cell types, including B cells and macrophages. |

| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | Docking protein 3 (DOK3) along with DOK1 and DOK2 acts in negative feedback signaling loops to regulate tyrosine kinase signaling. DOK3 recruits inhibitory molecules, which might be involved in the negative regulation of immunoreceptor signaling in hematopoietic cells including, B cells and macrophages. In addition, the encoded protein stimulates interferon (IFN)-β production via facilitating tumor necrosis factor receptor associated factor 3 (TRAF3)/ TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) complex formation and interferon regulatory transcription factor-3 (IRF-3) activation. |
