| General description【一般描述】 | MXD3 is a basic, helix-loop-helix transcription factor that belongs to the MAD family of proteins. This protein is involved in cerebellar development and GNP proliferation. Studies have reported that MXD3 is also required for the proliferation of DAOY medulloblastoma cells. Rabbit Anti-MXD3 antibody binds to chicken, human, mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, and canine MXD3. |

| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | MXD3 contains 1 basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. It is a transcriptional repressor and binds with MAX to form a sequence-specific DNA-binding protein complex which recognizes the core sequence 5′-CAC[GA]TG-3′. Antagonizes MYC transcriptional activity by competing for MAX and suppresses MYC dependent cell transformation. |
