Myosin 1A (MYO1A) also known as Brush border myosin I (BBMI) belongs to the myosin superfamily. All members of the myosin I family possess three structural domains: a catalytic head domain that binds ATP and actin, a tail domain for its subcellular localization and a junction or neck domain. Myo1A is a membrane protein, expressed in intestinal tract and inner ear. In human chromosome, the gene MYO1A is localized on 12q13.

Myosin 1A (MYO1A) is a actin based motor protein, that exerts mechanical activity in the microvilli. Mutations in MYO1A are linked to autosomal dominant nonsyndromic deafness (NSD) in humans.

Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
