Rabbit Anti-PPA1 antibody recognizes bovine, human, mouse, and rat PPA1.
PPA1 (Inorganic pyrophosphatase 1) is a 32kDa protein consisting of an aspartate-rich region. It is expressed in all the tissues and mapped on chromosome 10.

Rabbit Anti-PPA1 antibody is suitable for western blot applications at a concentration of 0.5mg-1mg/mL.

PPA1 (pyrophosphatase 1) facilitates hydrolytic conversion of pyrophosphate to orthophosphate. Study shows its tumor-specific protein expression in gastric cancer cells, thus, it has been suggested that PPA1 can be a potential tumor-specific marker in gastric cancers. PPA1 is also involved in the regulation of pancreatic ductal HCO₃^- secretion. It helps to organize transepithelial HCO₃^- prior to fluid secretion from human serous-like airway cells. In addition, it also controls anion exchanger (AE) activity by activating CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator)/pendrin at the apical membrane and inhibiting the basolateral AE by cAMP agonists.
