| General description【一般描述】 | PRP6 pre-mRNA processing factor 6 homolog (S. cerevisiae) (PRPF6) is involved in pre-mRNA spliceosome assembly by acting as a link between small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNP) U5 snRNP and U4/U6 snRNP to form U4/U6-U5 tri-snPNP. Mutation of PRPF6 are linked to impairment of pre-mRNA splicing and autosomal-dominant retinitis pigmentosa. |
