| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | Regulator of G-protein signaling 16 is a protein encoded by the RGS16 gene in humans and is mapped to chromosome 1q25-1q31. It is found to be expressed in 17 human gastrointestinal cancer cell lines. RGS16 expression is higher in colorectal cancer (CRC) tissue when compared to normal tissue. It can act as a predictive marker for patient prognosis of CRC. Loss of RGS16 in some breast tumors enhances PI3K signaling elicited by growth factors and thereby promotes proliferation and TKI evasion downstream of HER activation. |
