| General description【一般描述】 | RUVBL2 is an AS160-binding protein and is expressed in the cytosol. This cytosolic protein is involved in insulin-stimulated GLUT4 translocation. RUVBL2 is also involved in modulating the function of PIKK proteins. Furthermore, it is known to form macromolecular complexes that regulate the nonsense-mediated decay of premature mRNA transcripts. Rabbit Anti-RUVBL2 (AB2) antibody recognizes bovine, canine, human, mouse, rat, and zebrafish RUVBL2. |

| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | RuvB-Like 2 (48-kDa TATA box-binding protein-interacting protein, Reptin 52, RUVBL2) is the second human homologue of the bacterial RuvB gene. Bacterial RuvB protein is a DNA helicase essential for homologous recombination and DNA double-strand break repair. Functional analysis showed that this protein has both ATPase and DNA helicase activities. This gene is physically linked to the CGB/LHB gene cluster on chromosome 19q13.3, and is very close (55 nt) to the LHB gene, in the opposite orientation. |
