Zinc finger MYND domain-containing protein 11, ZMyND11, also known as BS69 is a transcriptional repressor found express in the nucleus. It is an adenovirus E1A-binding protein that stabilizes E1A expression by inhibiting its ubiquitin-dependent degradation. Recently, ZMyND11 has been shown to interact helicases, HDACs, as well as histone methyltransferases highlighting it′s possible role in chromatin remodeling.

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human ZMYND11

ZMYND11 was first identified by its ability to bind the adenovirus E1A protein. The protein localizes to the nucleus. It functions as a transcriptional repressor, and expression of E1A inhibits this repression.
