| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | 24(S)-hydroxycholesterol is preferred over 24(R)-hydroxycholesterol by human 7α-hydroxylase. However, the porcine enzyme is active towards both isomers. 24-hydroxycholesterol (24-OH) favors sirtuin 1 expression and reduces the tau protein phosphorylation. |
