It elicits strong affinity to SMO compared to 7β,(25R)26-dihydroxycholesterol (7β,26-diHC). 7-OC is reduced to 7β,(25R)26-dihydroxycholesterol (7β,26-diHC) by reactive oxygen species (ROS). |
