| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | IGF1R (insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor) is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor that is activated by IGF1 (insulin-like growth factor 1) as well as IGF2. IGF1R plays a key role in tumorigenesis. The IGF1R is implicated in several cancers, most notably breast cancer where it is highly overexpressed and causes disease progression and poor prognosis. In many instances, IGF1R overexpression allows cancerous cells to resist the cytotoxic properties of chemotheraputic drugs or radiotherapy. |
