PYK2 (proline-rich tyrosine kinase 2, also known as FAK2/RAFTK) belongs to the focal adhesion PTK (protein tyrosine kinase) family. It is activated by signals that increases intracellular calcium concentration and also by stress signals. PYK2 is present in the endothelium, central nervous system, and hematopoietic lineages.

In osteoclasts, PYK2 (proline-rich tyrosine kinase 2) might be a crucial mediator of integrin α_vβ3 signaling events that affects osteoclast physiology as well as pathology. It has a tumor-promoting role in multiple myeloma.

Supplied in 50mM NaPhosphate pH 7.0, 300 mM NaCl, 150 mM imidazole, 0.1mM PMSF, 0.2 mM DTT, 25% glycerol.
