Photooxidation UV lamp is a replacement lamp for use with Milli-Q^® systems. Through its photooxidative effect, the lamp degrades organic molecules into inorganic species. The combination of dual wavelengths generates hydroxyl radicals (OH.), a key species in the oxidation process. Organic contaminants are oxidized to charged organic acids and CO₂, which combines with water to generate carbonate and bicarbonate ions. These newly formed ions are retained by mixed ion exchange resins down-stream from the UV lamp. This photooxidation UV lamp is for Milli-Q^® Advantage A10 / Direct / Element / Integral / Reference water purification systems.

Water treated by this UV lamp is low in organic contaminants and suitable for all applications sensitive to organics (HPLC, etc.)
