| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | Nuclease P1 catalyzes the hydrolysis of 3′-5′ phosphodiester bonds in RNA and single-stranded DNA and 3′-phosphomonoester bonds in mono- and oligonucleotides terminated by a 3′-phosphate group without apparent bases specificity. The enzyme is used as a component of nuclease cocktail to generate single-stranded oligodeoxynucleotide (ODNs) samples for mass spectroscopy research for characterization of oligodeoxyribonucleotides. Nuclease P1 has also been widely used in the food industry to enhance or create flavor. |
