| General description【一般描述】 | UV irradiation resistance-associated gene (UVRAG) is an essential component of the Beclin1-PI(3)KC3 lipid kinase complex which functions as an important signaling checkpoint for autophagy and tumor-cell growth. More specifically, UVRAG seems to work as a multivalent trafficking effector that controls autophagosome formation and maturation, and also controls the engaging of the fusion apparatus to the endosome. UVRAG may be a promising target for cancer therapies. |
